Electric current in house outlets

Postby Galaxy » Mon 11 April, 2011 12:24

in a house with 120V voltage and many appliances are connected in parallel to each other. the house has a 20A fuse.
How many 501W devices can be connected in to the outlets before the fuse blows out?

we have 120v and the fuse is 20A
the power equation is P=I*V where I=20 and V=120
so P=20*120=2400W

now we want to find how many 501W device we can connect. so `2400/501=4.8` device so we can connect 4 device before the fuse blows out.
Explore and know. That is asked.
