Imagine that you have two identical flasks, one containing
hydrogen at STP and the other containing oxygen
at STP. How can you tell which is which without
opening them?

The containers are identical. Both containers contain the same number of gas molecules. Weigh the containers. Because the molecular mass for `O_2` is greater than the molecular mass for `H_2`, the heavier container contains `O_2`.
