Clearing
only clears the entry. 
also clears the last answer, the statistics data, matrices and vectors, but it keeps the memories. 2nd F, M clear opens a menu: 
resets the display settings, 
clears every memory, and 
resets the whole calculator, exactly like the RESET switch on the back.
